Today is the shortest day of year and the official start of winter which has fascinated millions of people over thousands of years. That day is officially today–December 21st. My ancestry is from Averoy which is in the northern part of Norway so they have even less light than in Oslo. The pictures here are of both Dec 20-21 and this unique time of year
